Random shot from a very small Long Beach sprint today. 3rd O.
So lately I’ve been putting a lot more time into running and a lot less into swimming and biking. And it paid off exactly so. It’s depressing how quickly I lost what I had gained since Vineman. I rode my bike only 3 times since the 70.3 and today at a sprint of all the races, my avg. speed was slower than at the 70.3. Not sure if my legs are still trashed from a long run I did a couple days ago or what. Only natural I suppose. Give something up to gain something else. With that said, from now until October 7 my training will mostly consist of running. I’m still not entirely sure why I decided to do a full 26.2, but let’s see what happens.
